This big, leather-bound tome contains spells designed for the post’s defense. Most of the spells contained herein are grimoire spells.

This spell prevents human beings from entering or exiting any room in the target structure, by any means magical or mundane. It also prevents humans from harming or affecting the structure directly or indirectly or harming or affecting anything in another room of the structure. Specific persons can be designated to remain unaffected by the spell if the caster names them at the time of the casting. Humans with Magic Resistance may be immune to the effect, depending on the caster’s Penetration result.

The Mentem requisite causes affected human beings to rationalize that they have chosen (for one reason or another) not to break the ward. (Base 15, +1 Touch, +2 Sun, +3 Structure, +1 Mentem Requisite)

The target structure becomes invisible to normal sight. (Base 4, +1 Touch, +2 Day, +3 Structure)

Walls of Iron (Grimoire: Muto Terram 30)

This spell fortifies the stone walls of a structure, making them as hard as iron. Any reasonably defensible stone fortification has walls thick enough that, when under the effect of this spell, they become impervious even to powerful siege weapons such as cannons. (Base 2, +1 Touch, +2 Day, +3 Structure, +2 affect metal)

Locks or unlocks the touched door, lid, or similar portal. This spell only affects mundane locks of the mechanical variety that are built into the target portal. (Base 1, +1 Touch, +1 Part, +2 affect metal)
